Learning New Skills And Getting Ready For Arts Week

We are so excited to be working on our cultural cushions to display during week 9. We have done a lot of research into cultural patterns and good luck symbols from around the world. We also worked on our sketching skills designing what our cushions will look like when we are finished.

We are learning how to sew to be able to make our cushions. The basic stitches that we have learnt are; back stitch, cross stitch, running stitch, blanket stitch and whip stitch. We will definitely be able to help with sewing buttons onto shirts after this!

A huge thank you to the AMAZING E-Pacs Lion & Dance Group for coming to Sunnyhills to show and teach us about the Chinese Lion Dance. We had so much fun listening to you and now know so much more about Chinese New Year. Safe and Strong Online

Continuing on from our amazing lesson with Mrs Lee in the Exploration Station, we have been working on our projects to share our knowledge on how to be safe and strong online. It is so important that we are aware of the dangers that could happen and what we can do if we don't feel safe. We really love coming into the Exploration Station where we can create games online with Scratch, film videos with our friends and make wonderful models and game boards. Rebecca and Danielle have already created and completed a video showing what they know about being safe and strong online. Check it out below.
