Learning New Skills And Getting Ready For Arts Week
We are so excited to be working on our cultural cushions to display during week 9. We have done a lot of research into cultural patterns and good luck symbols from around the world. We also worked on our sketching skills designing what our cushions will look like when we are finished. We are learning how to sew to be able to make our cushions. The basic stitches that we have learnt are; back stitch, cross stitch, running stitch, blanket stitch and whip stitch. We will definitely be able to help with sewing buttons onto shirts after this! Maths Talks
We have been discussing all of the different ways we can solve 32-19. It was great to see so many strategies and then decide which ones would be the most efficient and then which ones we preferred to use. Check out our working below and please comment which strategy you would use :)
