We are so excited to be working on our cultural cushions to display during week 9. We have done a lot of research into cultural patterns and good luck symbols from around the world. We also worked on our sketching skills designing what our cushions will look like when we are finished. We are learning how to sew to be able to make our cushions. The basic stitches that we have learnt are; back stitch, cross stitch, running stitch, blanket stitch and whip stitch. We will definitely be able to help with sewing buttons onto shirts after this!
